LILIANA
2025 • HOSPITALITY • Visual Identity, brand collateral, WEBSIte

Nestled in a cozy end of Queen St West, Liliana invites you to enjoy comforting Italian dishes with unexpected flavours.

After the unfortunate closure of Vela on King St. Chef Marvin sought to carve a new path in the Toronto food scene with a project that reflects his identity as a chef. Liliana, named after his late mentor during his time studying Italian cuisine in Piedmont, Italy is a love letter citing his culinary journey from Toronto to Italy to Hong Kong.

The goal of the branding design was not to create something eye-catching, bold and innovative like other new restaurants on the strip fighting for the attention of passersby. Instead the branding is subtle, romantic, and timeless. Inspired by the feelings of warmth and familiarity of your new favourite place to enjoy a plate of pasta and good conversation. The intention was to build a restaurant identity that could stand the test of time and memorable experience that holds a special place in patrons hearts and stomachs.
